Betty Jean Stover, age 88, died Sunday morning, April 15, 2012, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, Anamosa, with interment in the Forest Chapel Cemetery. The Reverend Laurie Riley will officiate at the services. There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wilma Stover. Betty Jean Stover was born December 5, 1923, in Greenfield Township, Jones County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Wilbur J. and Muriel Bartlett Stover. Betty was a graduate of the Anamosa Community Schools and the University of Iowa. She taught for two years in Wayne Township School #6. She later worked for forty-one years at the University of Northern Iowa on the secretarial staff. She retired in 1986 and moved back to Anamosa. Betty served in many offices and as a board member in local, state, and national offices of the Association of Educational Office Personnel. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church, BPW, Concord, WGC, and Main Street Anarnosa.
