Food Service Staff

Juanita A. Smith, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 16, 1928, in Marshalltown, daughter of Finney and Mildred Waker Owen. She married Earl F. Smith June 29, 1947, in Marshalltown. He died August 23, 2008. She was a food service supervisor at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1990 after twenty-one years of service. 

Survived by: two sons, Terry (Vicki) of Cedar Falls and Donald (Tern) of Fairfield, Washington; four grandchildren, Becky Smith, Boyd (fiancee Ashley) Smith, Monica (Jerry) Szep and Ben (Jessie) Kiddoo; six great-grandchildren, Chris Kiddoo, Cory Szep, Jordan Szep, Johnathan Szep, Michael Kiddoo, and Matthew Kiddoo, and another great-grandchild expected. Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three half sisters, Bonnie, Kathryn, and Leolia; and two half brothers, Floyd and Emmit. 

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
