Ilo C. Slatinka, 89, of 113 Main Street, Hudson, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes. She was born November. 1, 1914, in Centerville, daughter of Ezra and Sarah Keller Noe. She married Edward F Slatinka on December 12, 1940, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died December 11, 1976. Mrs. Slatinka graduated with top honors from Cameron High School, Cameron, Missouri. She worked for the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for twenty-one years, retiring in 1980. She was involved in housekeeping in Maucker Union.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jean Slatinka of Hudson and Gayle (Bill) Hogan of Nebraska City, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Micah (Brad) Meyer of Rockwell, Tracy (Kathy) Wirtz of West Union, Bret (Stephanie) Wirtz of Maynard, Brandi (Kevin) Conrad of Fort Dodge, and Frank Hogan of Lincoln, Nebraska; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Leonard (Althea) Kuzela of Marion. Preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Cleo, Glen, Lloyd, and Harry Noe; and a sister, Clara O'Connor.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home. Her body has been cremated.
Memorials: may be directed to the Hudson Fire and Rescue Department.
