W. Dean Primrose, 62, of Cedar Falls, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, of complications of multiple myeloma. He was born December 12, 1940, in Webster City, son of Bill and Vivian Peters Primrose. He married Beth McKee September 6, 1961, in Webster City. Mr. Primrose received both his B. A. and M. A. from the University of Northern Iowa and had emeritus status in the College of Education at UNI, having taught at Northern University High School from 1973 to 2002. He was past president of the Cedar Falls Rough Riser Kiwanis Club from 1986 to 1987 and was a member of the Steering Committee of the Teacher Education Convocation at UNI. 

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Peggy (Clark) Taylor of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Polly (Brad) Jacobson of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Lauren Taylor and Sawyer Jacobson; and two sisters, Claudia (Arlo) Van Diest of Webster City and Pat (George) Mesik of Blue Springs, Missouri. Preceded in death by: his parents. 

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove Schoof Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery Memorials: may be directed to the Mayo Foundation for multiple myeloma research, the church, or the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester.
