Benita Marsh Benita N. Roper Marsh, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo. She was born April 6, 1931, daughter of Guy and Margaret Gibbons Roper. She married Edwin L. Marsh, on January 10, 1957, in Harvey, Illinois. Mrs. Marsh graduated from Harrisburg High School and was employed as a housemother at the University of Northern Iowa and later went to work with Control-O-Fax. Survived by: her husband; a son, Richard (Scott) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Lori (Arden) Bock of Lincoln, Nebraska; a brother, Bruce Roper of La Porte, Indiana; and a sister, Boni Suseland of Demotte, Indiana. Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert Roper. Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
