Glenn L. Knoll, 89, of Waverly, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Bartels Lutheran Home, Waverly. He was born April 18, 1915, in rural Kesley, son of Ervin K. and Adella E. Yost Knoll. He married Angeline A. Neymeyer on December 7, 1945, in Nashua. Mr. Knoll graduated from Allison High School in 1935. He was an oculist for Bausch & Lomb in Waterloo and was later a locksmith for the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in March 1981. He also served in the U. S. Navy as Chief Petty Officer during World War II.
Survivors include: his wife of Cedar Falls; and a son, Brock (Joy) of Cedar Falls. Preceded in death by: three brothers, Harold, Merle, and Fred, and two sisters, Netha Van Hoven and Nina Miller.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial before services in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.
