Esther K. Johnson, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, November 2, 2003, at the Lutheran Home. She was born August 7, 1906, in Dike, daughter of Lars and Oline Jensen Sorensen. She married Ernest E. Jepsen in August 1926. He died January 6, 1955. She married Arthur W. Johnson on November 29, 1957, in rural Cedar Falls. He died October 20, 1994. Mrs. Johnson graduated from Dike High School; Dike, arid from Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). She was a school teacher, then later a clerk in the Registrar's Office at the University of Northern Iowa. Survivors include: two sons, Roger (Dee) Jepsen of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Myron (Bertie) Jepsen of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Carol (James) Nymann of El Paso, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a brother, Orla Sorensen; and a granddaughter. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Fredsville Lutheran Church, rural Cedar Falls, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home; and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the church or the Lutheran Home.
