Jan Hightower, 54, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at her home. She was born May 4, 1951, in South Gate, California, daughter of Richard J. and June E. Settles Hightower. She graduated from Anaheim High School, Anaheim, California, in 1969, and was a supervisor at Fresh Beginnings, the bakery at UNI, for more than twenty years.
She loved her cats, Sassy and Shadow. Jan enjoyed flowers, stamps, porcelain dolls, angels, and arts and crafts. Most of all, Jan loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
Survived by: her mother, June E. Hightower of Cedar Falls; a son, Brian (Meghan) Haskovec of Nashua; two daughters, Tonya Hightower of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Sheree (Dale) Harper of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Allyssa Harper, Troy Haskovec, Isabella Harder, Anthony Haskovec, Brandon Haskovec, and Zoe Haskovec; two brothers, Kevin (Suzy) Hightower of Guadalupe, California, and Rick Hightower of Los Angeles; and a sister, Elaine (Mark) Bolton of New Hartford. Preceded in death by: her father.
Memorial services: 3 pm. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm. Monday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.

Jan will be missed by all who knew her.
