Delores Arlene Hagen, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 16, 1925, in Egan, South Dakota, daughter of Conrad and Inga Olson Anderson. She married Eugene Waters on October 16, 1948, in Clermont, and they later divorced. She married Richard Hagen on July 10, 1962, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. Ms. Hagen graduated from Pitze's Beauty School, Waterloo, and was a beautician for over fifteen years. She was employed at the Cedar Falls Holiday Inn for seventeen years, as a waitress and later as a manager. She was a cook at Cedar Falls High School and later worked for UNI Food Service for eight years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include: three sons, Daryl Waters of Jesup, David Waters of Cedar Rapids, and Rick (Teri) Hagen of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Julee Miller and Michelle Hagen-Cayler, both of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren, Heather, Preston, Tammy, Tala, Brandy, Kyle (Amanda), Amber, Hope, and Landen; two great-grandchildren, Crystal and Zoe; and a brother, Kenneth Anderson of Oklahoma. Preceded in death by: her husband, Eugene; two brothers, Alton and Duane Anderson; and two sisters, Clarice Ludolf and Fern Davis. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel, Cedar Falls, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Monday in East Clermont Lutheran Cemetery, near Clermont. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorial fund: will be established. Through the years Delores enjoyed cooking and canning food from her garden. She worked very hard in order to support her family.
