Gladyce J. Gooder, 98, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, September 1, 2002, at the Lutheran Home. She was born May 14, 1904, near McIntire, daughter of Oliver L. and Cora E. Harrison Gooder. She graduated from Gates Business College, Waterloo, in 1929. She attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) and worked in the offices there until 1942. She was then the secretary for the area health officer for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Knoxville, Tennessee, from 1942 to 1967.
Survivors include: two nephews, John H. Church of Cresco and Robert D. Inskeep of Farmington, New Mexico. Preceded in death by: a brother, Lester Gooder; and two sisters, Enid Church and Ruby Inskeep.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutheran Home Chapel, Cedar Falls, with burial in Wayne's Cemetery, McIntire. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the Lutheran Home Chapel.
