Myrtle S. Flaig, 91, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes. She was born April 19, 1916, in Iowa Falls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Quaife. She worked at the UNI Food Service for fifteen years, retiring in 1980. She loved to fish and also enjoyed watching the Cubs. As part of her regular routine she bowled with the Happy Flower League at Maple Lanes on Friday mornings. Survived by: two sons. Jon (Darlene) of Waverly and Terry (Diana) of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Tim (Colleen) Flaig of Winsted, Minnesota, Sandy (Joe) Dittmer of Michigan, Sherry Domer of Independence, Clay Flaig of Waverly, Clint (Melissa) Flaig of Waverly, and Kodie Flaig of Waterloo; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a brother; two sisters; and a son, Tim Flaig. There will be no services; her body was cremated. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
