Freda Fasse, 60, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Freda began her career at UNI in 1980 as a Sewing Machine Operator. She was a Cook I in Campbell Dining Hall prior to becoming ill. She was born September 21, 1936, in Toledo, daughter of Charles R. and Mary Jane Reeves Young. She married John L. Bond on April 27, 1956, in Finchford; they were later divorced. She married Victor L. Fasse on September 8, 1984, in Cedar Falls. Survivors include her husband; four sons, John R. and Jeffery R. Bond, both of Cedar Falls, Dave Fasse of Sachse, Texas, and Dale Fasse of Waukesha, Wisconsin; three daughters, Cynthia M. Duncan of Grundy Center, Christine M. Bond of Cedar Falls and Vicki Foelske of Waverly; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Zella Piper of Cedar Falls, Veda Pines of Finchford, and Shirley Kloostra of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; a brother, Charles H. Young; and an infant sister, Olive Young. Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.
