Julie E. Fankhauser, 47, of Bailey, Colorado, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, and Dunkerton, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at St. Joseph Health Center, Kansas City, of cancer. She was born February 7, 1953, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, daughter of E. Doyle and Carol Savage Mace. She married David Fankhauser on August 13, 1988, in Belton, Missouri. She attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she worked as a secretary. She also was a secretary at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She graduated from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City and worked at the college in the Public Relations Department for fifteen years as a graphic artist.
Survived by: her husband; her mother of Kansas City; a brother, Dr. Timothy Mace of Saginaw, Michigan; a sister, Susana Wheeler of Kansas City; and grandparents, William Mace and Gladys Savage, both of Burlington. Preceded in death by: her father, E. Doyle Mace.
Services: were June 1 at Blue Ridge Bible Church, Kansas City, with burial in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. E. K. George & Sons Funeral Home of Grandview/Belton, Missouri, was in charge of arrangements.
