Pauline E. Christensen, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo. She was born August 24, 1930, in Winthrop, daughter of Keith M. and Josephine I. Heckle Watters. She married Wendell H. "Chris" Christensen II on July 20, 1953, in Cedar Falls. He died March 23. 2010. Mrs. Christensen was employed as a secretary with the University of Northern Iowa. Survived by: two daughters, Karen (Paul) Hanson of Hudson and Wendy (Dave) Smith of Cedar Falls; a son, Wendell H. III (Liann Fernandez) of South Daytona, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Jean (Norm) Hovey of Mesa, Arizona; and a brother, Dean (Shirley) Watters of Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by: two brothers, Dick and J. R. "Keith" Watters. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Western Home Communities Windhaven, 5500 S. Main Street.
