Willis A. Bishop, 69, died at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo on December 7, 1986. He began working for UNI in 1968 and was a custodian with the Physical Plant. Willis became disabled in 1976 and retired on July 1, 1986. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 10, at 10 a.m., at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until services Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and Covenant Medical Center. 

Willis was born September 25, 1917, in Gretna, Nebraska, the son of Granville and Martha (Eggers) Bishop. He married Dorothy M. Adsit on March 25, 1935 in Troy, Kansas. Willis is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sisters, Dorothy Waxham of Denver, Colorado, and Betty Witham of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a brother, Lloyd Bishop of Norfolk, Virginia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille.
