E. Jannette Birum, 69, died on Saturday, June 26, 1982, at the Americana Health Care Center in Waterloo. Mrs. Birum began working at UNI in 1954 and went on disability in 1975. Before becoming disabled, she had been the supervisor of the Word Processing Center located in Baker Hall. Mrs. Birum retired from employment at UNI on June 30, 1981. Services for E. Jannette Birum, formerly of 5907 Waverly Road, Cedar Falls, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Birum is survived by her husband, Stephen; three daughters, Jan Vanderberg, of Gladstone, Minnesota; Ann Wahner, Cedar Falls; and Mary K. Hall, of Lubbock, Texas.
