Harry E. Andreessen of 2724 Bicentennial Drive, Cedar Falls, died on Monday evening, September 30, 1985, at Schoitz Medical Center. Mr. Andreessen began work at UNI in August 1969, as a Custodian I in Building Services and had been disabled since May 1980. He retired from UNI on June 30, 1985. Mr. Andreessen was born February 2, 1916, in Grundy County, the son of Dan and Alice Eiklenborg Andreessen. He married Helen Franken on October 8, 1940, and they were later divorced. 

Harry is survived by his two sons, Dennis of Cupertino, California, and Dean of Merced, California; two daughters, Donna Bohlen of Washington, Iowa and Mary Basye of Hampton; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Margaret Heeren of New Hartford, Mae Lindaman of Cedar Falls, Mildred Wilkens of Stout, and Erma Christiansen of Dike. 

Services for Mr. Andreessen will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Orchard Hill Reformed Church with burial in Stout Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services on Friday at the church.
