Mary Teresa Hagberg, 55, of 2113 Valley Park Drive, Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, January 6, 1999, at Sartori Memorial Hospital from complications of a heart attack on October. 2, 1998. She was born June 18, 1943, in Cedar Falls, daughter of John A. and Myrtle M. McMullen Roark. She married Shelby J. Hagberg on June 16, 1962, in Cedar Falls. Mrs. Hagberg was a 1961 graduate of Columbus High School, Waterloo, and was a secretary at the biology greenhouse at the University of Northern Iowa. Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Melissa M. Kirkpatrick of Cedar Falls; a son, Scott E. of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Butler of Cedar Falls and Helen Modlin of Grundy Center. Preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Kathryn Minikus; and two brothers, Kenneth O'Rourke and John Roark.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where there will be a 3 p.m. Rosary and a 7:30 p.m. scripture service. Memorial fund: has been established.
