Marlys "Mollie" Floss, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo. She was born May 25, 1937, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Earl and Florence Waters Bolin. She married Robert Carmichael, and they later divorced. She married Gary Floss, and they later divorced. She attended Cedar Falls schools and received her GED in 1989. She was a cook and custodian for fifteen years at the University of Northern Iowa, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.
Survived by: two sons, Ritch Carmichael of Lakeville, Minnesota, and Craig (Debbie) Carmichael of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Katy Block of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Heide Jones, John Block, Sabrina Carmichael, Kilei Carmichael, and Zachary Carmichael; a great-grandchild, Sonya Block; and two brothers, Bruce (Marlys) Bolin of Dysart and Floyd (Sharon) Bolin of Cedar Falls. Preceded in death by: her parents; a grandchild, Sidney Carmichael; and four brothers, Melvin, Bob, Glen, and Harold Bolin.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
