Marguerite Rebecca "Peggy" Thalman, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 20, 2002, at Western Home Communities Martin Center of natural causes. She was born April 9, 1922, in Annapolis, Maryland, daughter of Albert Linton and Marguerite R. Waters 0'Neale. She married Lowell Levi Thalman on October 30, 1943, in Annapolis. Mrs. Thalman was a graduate of Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing, receiving a registered nurse degree in 1943. She worked at the Anne Arundel Hospital, Annapolis, then at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Price Lab School, and the University of Northern Iowa Health Center:
Survived by: her husband; three sons, Dr. Lowell W. Thalman of West Des Moines, Robert L. of Cedar Falls, and Ronald K. of Brevard, North Carolina; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia 0'Neale of Annapolis. Preceded in death by: a brother, Albert L. O'Neale.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the church, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
