Koert J. Miller, 100, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center. He was born February 29, 1912, in Butler County, son of Jacob and Grace Arenholz Miller. He married Jennie Kappel on November 26, 1936, in Kesley. She died November 10, 1975. He married Arlene Klunder on November 20, 1976, in Cedar Falls. She died September 21, 1980. He married Carol Albright on June 27, 1981, in Cedar Falls. She died February 3, 2003. Mr. Miller farmed near Allison and Clarksville, then was employed with the University of Northern Iowa.
Survived by: a son, Stanley K. (Joan) of Cedar Rapids; three granddaughters, Shelly Hartman, Pam Miller, and Stacy Penning; three great-grandchildren, Brad Penning, Kam Penning, and Dustin Miller; a sister, Carrie Garnbaiani of Waverly; and three stepbrothers, Ray Mehmen, of Waverly, Jake Mehmen, of Greene, and Hank Mehmen of Shell Rock. Preceded in death by: a stepbrother, Ralph Mehmen.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly.
Memorials: may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church Kitchen Project, in lieu of flowers.
Koert loved his dog "Cookie", trout fishing, and camping.
