John Robinson, 52, of 1018 Main Street, Cedar Falls died Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of heart failure. He was born January 25, 1951, in Waterloo, son of Garland R. Robinson and Ethel McMullen. He married Corine Kriol on May 10, 1997, in Waterloo. Mr. Robinson was formerly employed as a disc jockey at the University of Northern Iowa and a disc jockey for KBBG.
Survived by: his wife, Corine; his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Kriol of Phoenix, Arizona; two stepdaughters, Juniper Frost of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Adrianne E. Andrews of Iowa City; a stepson, Jordan Frost of San Francisco, California; two brothers, Jackie Robinson of Gardenia, California, and Jerald Robinson of Sydney, Australia; four sisters, Helen Simpson of Des Moines, Hazel Isabell of Waterloo, Dorothy Robinson of Waterloo, and Bettye Griffith of Inglewood, California. Preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, James.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church, Waterloo, with the Reverend Michael E. Coleman, Sr., officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday, at the church. Sanders Funeral Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
