Harry Miller, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, September 22, 2001, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes. He was born October 20, 1912, in Dumont, son of Henry and Hattie Grouse Miller. He married Beulah Anna Fischer on November 26, 1934, in Northwood. She died March 26, 2001. Mr. Miller was employed in the maintenance department at the University of Northern Iowa Power Plant for 32 years.
Survived by: four sons, Douglas R. of New Hartford, Ronald D. of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Gary D. and Dwane "Butch," both of Cedar Falls; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Daniel of Greene and Lester of Rockford; and five sisters, Bertha Kraft of Greene, Alice Heinz of Charles City, Dena Hansen of Commerce City, Colorado, Lucille Hansen of Waterloo and Kathleen of Colorado. Preceded in death by: two brothers, Vern and Bill.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, temporarily located at 204 W. Seerley Boulevard, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m., and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
