F. William "Bill" Button, 74, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, August 19, 2010. He was born December 10, 1935, in Waterloo, son of Fred W. and Olive B. Button. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1953, and attended Drake University, University of Iowa, and University of Northern Iowa. Mr. Button played in various musical groups. Survived by: his cousins, Betty Miller, Harry Button, Ruth Grau, David Button, Stephen Button, Lucy Fanning, Nancy DiVincenzo, Robert Vierck, and Dick Baldwin; his lifelong friend, Roger (Caroline) Kalkis; and many other friends. Memorial services: 11 a.m. September 11 at the Chapel at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Bill was a very kind and decent man. His family and friends will miss him.
