In celebration of Eugene Eddy's 80th birthday, his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara arid Jim Davis, will host a gathering of family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. next Sunday, April 20, 2003, at St Paul's United Methodist Church, 207 W. Louise Street. Mr. Eddy was born April 30, 1923, in Black Hawk County, to Earl and Florance Eddy, and graduated from ISTC High School in Cedar Falls in 1942. He married Clarice "Carol" Fletcher in 1945 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Bolton, Lancashire, England. Mrs. Eddy died in 1995. He is a veteran of World War II, past governor of Waterloo Moose Lodge, member of International Moose, British Moose, Cedar Falls AMVETS, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Mr. Eddy was manager of the electrical service department at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1981. He has a grandson, Robert, a granddaughter, Leesa, and great-grandson, Cori. He resides at 508 W. Donald Street, Waterloo 50703.
