Esther Marlene Stauffacher, 83, of 2962 Gram Court, Waterloo, died at home Sunday, May 21, 1995, of cancer. She was born July 1, 1911, in Estherville, daughter of John Fremont and Capitola Daggett Criswell. She married George Henry Frohn on December 16, 1928. They were later divorced. She married George R. Stauffacher on September 27, 1940, in Estherville. He died March 28, 1990. Mrs. Stauffacher retired from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. Survived by: a son, Robert G. Frohn of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Norma L. Gram of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson; and three sisters, Lena Stauffacher, Bea Snyder, and Jeanne Mealhouse, all of Vinton.
