Elnora A. Moon, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls. She was born July 6, 1919, in Paris, Missouri, daughter of William and Leona Tuffli Young. She married Alfred C. Moon, Jr., on August 10, 1941; he died September 2, 1966. Elnora was employed by the University of Northern Iowa as secretary to the director of Maucker Union. Survived by: a son, Steven (Jolene) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Jordan of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, with inurnment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016, at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for an hour before services at the church. Memorials: may be directed to PEO Chapter KL Scholarship Fund. Elnora was fortunate to be able to participate in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the friendships developed through her employment at UNI, bridge groups, volunteer endeavors, and PEO.
