Doris Zwanziger, 55, of 320 Sixth Street, Janesville, died Wednesday, November 20, 1996, at home, of breast cancer. Doris began her employment at UNI in 1978 as a Secretary I in Public Safety and remained with the department for her entire career, attaining a Secretary II rating in 1984. She was born May 24, 1941, near Readlyn, daughter of Clarence H. and Ella M. Wolf Strottman. She married William Zwanziger on October 22, 1961, in Readlyn. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Robin Rector of Denver, Janell Crow of Janesville, Dixie Wyant of Sacramento, California, and Dawn Zwanziger of Cedar Falls; a son, Michael of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Gladys Bauer of Waverly, Helen Schneider of Glenwood, and Elaine Teisinger of Dunkerton. Doris was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Alice Watts. Memorial services were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Janesville United Methodist Church, under the auspices of Messiah Lutheran Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.
