Debbie Green Sabbath, 49, of Evergreen Park, Illinois, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, December 8, 2000, at home of cancer. She was born December 5, 1951, in Sioux City, daughter of William and Nonie Slick Green. She married Jeff Sabbath on May 11, 1986, in Dotham, Alabama. Mrs. Sabbath was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School, and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a master's degree from Iowa State University. She was a former instructor at Price Laboratory School.
Survived by: her husband; two daughters, Emily and Natalie Sabbath, both at home; a son, Walt at home; a foster daughter, Stacey Monthei of Jewell; three grandchildren; her mother of Oaklawn, Illinois; two brothers, Don Green of Oaklawn and David Green of Nenagh, Ireland; and two sisters, Holly Green Porter of Cedar Falls and Betty Flaten of Westminster, Colorado. Preceded in death by: her father. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at United by Faith Lutheran Church, Evergreen Park. Friends may call from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday at the church, where there will be a 7 p.m. prayer service. Heritage Cremations Ltd., Hillside, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
