Cecile Marie Hare, 79, of Des Moines, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Mercy Hospice, Johnston. She was born November 28, 1925, in Remsen, daughter of John and Cecilia Flynn. She married Vernon E. Hare on April 17, 1947, in Sioux City. He preceded her in death. break Mrs. Hare worked as a secretary at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for twenty-four years, retiring in 1991. Survivors include: three daughters, Colleen (Noel) Ross of Riverton, Wyoming, and Patricia (John) Bunte and Linda Risinger, both of Des Moines; two sons, Mark (Connie) of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and Richard (Janet) of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild; four sisters, Mary Slate of Waukee, Kathleen O'Bryan of Jefferson, Carol Hettinger of Atlantic and Rita Flynn of Coon Rapids; and two brothers, Thomas Flynn of Pocahontas and James Flynn of West Des Moines. Preceded in death by: two sisters; and a brother. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dunn's Funeral Home, Des Moines, with burial at 3 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. There will be no visitation. Memorials: may be directed to Mercy Hospice.
