Carl P. Rasmussen, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, December 19, 2000, at home of cancer. He was born July 8, 1917, in Grundy County, near Cedar Falls, son of Niels and Anna Marie Hansen Rasmussen. He married Maxine Webrand on October 22, 1943, in Fredsville. Mr. Rasmussen farmed in Grundy County for many years, then after retirement worked for the University of Northern Iowa as an inventory clerk. Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Karen Mukai of Cedar Falls; a brother, Ernest of Republic. Missouri; and two sisters, Alice Rittgers of Cedar Falls and Alma Pedersen of King City, Oregon. Preceded in death by: two sisters, Marie Pedersen and Emily Rasmussen; and four brothers, Hans, Rasmus, Peter, and Chris. Services: 11a.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, preceded by burial at 10 a.m. in Fredsville Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls.
