Agneta Jensen, 103, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born July 11, 1901, near Cedar Falls, daughter of A. Olaf and Caroline Henriksen Madsen. She married Christian "CB" Jensen September 28, 1926, in Cedar Falls. He died February 28, 1958. Mrs. Jensen attended country school and graduated from the Waterloo School of Business. She was a bank teller in Des Moines for several years. She and her husband owned and operated a neighborhood grocery business in Cedar Falls for many years, which was later known as Hart's Food Center. She later worked as a night hostess in a women's dormitory at the University of Northern Iowa. Her retirement years were spent as a volunteer for twenty-five years at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Survivors include: her grandchildren, Rodney Jensen, Susan Kreutzer and Kristin Jensen-McNamara, all of California; six great-grandchildren; and other close relatives, Ann Madsen, Carol Gates, Wayne Madsen, Allen Madsen, Sunny Kung, and Rita Juhl. Preceded in death by: a son, Richard; four brothers, Hart, Einer, Helge, and Bernhart Madsen; and five sisters, Julia, Jennie, and Sigrid Madsen, Dagmar Pedersen, and Rebecca Hansen. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Fells, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home in her name, in lieu of flowers.
