William G. "Bill" Rombke, 76, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, September 24, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital. He was born June 14, 1928, in Aredale, son of Frederick and Sophia Senne Rombke. He married Beverly Jo Shinners on November 6, 1954, in Des Moines. She died April 20, 1999. Mr. Rombke was employed by John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for twenty-two years as an engineer and later owned and operated Productive Designs Company. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Northern Iowa until retiring in the mid-1980s. He was a member of Black Hawk Lodge No. 65 A. E and A. M., El Kahir Shrine, Scottish Rite Temple, Cedar Rapids; Cedar Falls O. E. S. No. 78; the Supervisors Club; and the Elks Club. 

Survivors include: two nephews, Ed O'Gorman of Des Moines and Patrick O'Gorman of Norwalk; and three nieces, Rose Marie Hoffman of Ankeny and Carla and Peggy O'Gorman, both of Des Moines. Preceded in death by: his wife; and two sisters, Annie Rombke and Lillian O'Gorman. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m. and where there will be a 7 p.m. public Masonic memorial service by Black Hawk Lodge No. 65 A. E and A. M. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospitals or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
