Todd VanDenHul, 42, of Oelwein died suddenly at his home Tuesday morning, February 9 , 2010. Todd Micheal VanDenHul was born July 6, 1967, in Mason City, son of Max "Mike" and Sandra Kay (Graff) VanDenHul, Jr. He graduated. from Thompson High School in Thompson in 1985, then attended the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for three years. Todd married Tina Marie Bilden on August 11, 1990, in Thompson. Todd worked at M. C. P. Computer Project at the University of Northern Iowa for ten years, then at A. S. I. Computer Systems, Inc., in Cedar Falls for the past fifteen years. Todd and his family moved to Oelwein in 1996. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein. In 2009, Todd was a founding officer of the CVineta Computer Networking Group in the Cedar Valley.
Todd is survived by his wife, Tina VanDenHul of Oelwein; children, Keisha (Alex) Mahoney of Oelwein and Michael, Tyler, and Ariana VanDenHul, all at home; his mother, Sandra VanDenHul of Mason City; four siblings, Kim (Scott) Norstrud of Thompson, and Chad VanDenHul, Staci (Ray) Stump, and Michele (Lonnie) Hahle, all of Mason City; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Marcus and Florence Graff; and paternal grandparents, Max and Nellie VanDenHul. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 13, at Zion Lutheran Church; Oelwein, with the Reverend Charis Combs-Lay officiating. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at a later date. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home has been entrusted to care for Todd and his family. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
