Susan Martha Nesheim Allbee, 63, of Waverly, formerly of Mankato, Minnesota, died Saturday, February 5, 2011, at University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview, Minneapolis. She was born October 11, 1947, in Mankato, daughter of Glen and Sylvia Nesheim. She married Dwight Allbee. Mrs. Allbee achieved her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, and continued as an instructor of sociology and women's studies.
Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Katia of Waverly; a son, Eamon (Dawn) of Tinley Park, Illinois; three grandchildren; her mother of Mankato; two brothers, Steven (Debra Elmore-Nesheim) Nesheim of Bayfield, Wisconsin, and John (Marie) Nesheim of Woodbury, Minnesota; and a sister, Toni Nesheim (Denny Salomonson) of Grayslake, Illinois. Preceded in death by: her father; and a brother, David.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church, North Mankato, with burial in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at North Mankato Mortuary - Northview, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
