Scott J. Hall, 60, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Shell Rock, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo. He was born December 16, 1950, in Waverly, son of Darwin and Norma Savage Hall. He married Vickie Mueller on January 22, 1972, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Mr. Hall graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1969, then earned an associate degree in 1971 from North Iowa Area Community College, Mason City, in air conditioning and refrigeration. He worked for George's TV, Clarksville, entered the Army Reserves, then returned to George's TV. In 1972 he started working as a service man for Montgomery Ward, and in 1977 went to work at the University of Northern Iowa's Physical Plant, where he would become manager, retiring in 2009 after thirty-two years. He later attended Hawkeye Community College for bartending school and was a bartender at the Back Alley Bar, Cedar Falls.
Survived by: his wife; his parents of Shell Rock; and a brother, Randy (Judy) of Marshalltown.
Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly. Visitation Sunday at the funeral home, with family present I to 4 p.m. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
