Roy J. Stille, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 20, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes. He was born July 11, 1935, in rural Floyd County, son of Theodore Christian and Esther Elizabeth Hauswirth Stille. Mr. Stille graduated from Waverly High School in 1955, then worked construction in the Des Moines and Waterloo areas. He later moved to Cedar Falls and became employed as a custodian at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring due to disability. For the past five years he has worked as a livestock patrolman at the Iowa State Fair. 

Survivors include: two sisters, Alice Speridon of Des Moines and Dorothy (Virgil) Renn of Clarksville. Preceded in death by: his parents; stepfather, Oscar Henry Stille; two brothers, Marvin and Ted; and a brother-in-law, John Speridon. 

Visitation: noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church, rural Cedar Falls, with a family memorial service following visitation. Burial will be later at Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of services. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
