Mr. Richard Brown, carpenter in the Plant Services at the University, passed away early Thursday morning, April 24, 1975. Prior to coming to the University, Mr. Brown worked for the John G. Miller Construction Company. Mr. Brown has been a member of the University staff since July of 1961 and has recently helped with extensive remodeling work in the new library. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Lois, one son, Mark, 15 years of age, two daughters, Sue and Barbara, 16 years and 6 years respectively. Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., at St. Timothy's United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home was in charge of the services. The flag was flown at half-mast during the time of funeral services for Mr. Brown.
