Nevlyn Evans, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, September 12, 2003, at the Cedar Falls Western Home-Assisted Living. She was born January 5, 1913, in Waverly, daughter of James Irvin and Louise Boyce Parrott. She married John R. "Jack" Evans on September 27, 1940, in Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Evans graduated from Waverly High School, was a buyer for Shield Bantam Company, and then worked for the University of Northern Iowa in the Bureau of Research and then as an accountant, retiring in 1983. She then helped her son with his business, Criterion Machine Shop. Survived by: her husband; a son, Jim (Terese) of Waterloo; and a sister, Virginia Keach of Cleveland, Tennessee. Services: private family services will take place at a later date. Her body was cremated; there will be no visitation. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
