Historical Note

The materials in Boxes 1-5 show the wide range of public duties and responsibilities in which President Koob was engaged.  It is a good place to study the planning that went into events such as the President's Picnic; other public entertainment; and smaller social gatherings.  The collection is arranged chronologically, with much more detailed and complete coverage in the later years.

Box 6 includes texts of speeches and presentations; schedules for fundraising events and activities; and detailed information about the planning and location of the McLeod Center.  Material in Box 6 is arranged by category.

Scope and Content

President Robert Koob kept an extremely busy schedule that included local, state, and national meetings; state and national conferences; alumni visits; campus celebrations; community presentations, and campus visitors.  His staff assisted him in meeting these obligations by creating folders of background information, schedules, maps, and travel plans for many of these events.
